Tuesday, Hospital officials recognized Eastanollee Elementary School 5th grader Gerald Barker for drawing the winning design that will appear on the front of this year’s Stephens County Hospital Christmas cards.

Barker said it feels very good to have won the contest and also says he is very proud of his winning drawing.

“I drew a snowman that was a green coat and green hat that was standing up,” said Barker.

This is the second year that Stephens County Hospital has conducted the contest.

Stephens County Hospital Administrator Ed Gambrell said that the hospital had a lot of participation this year.

Out of all of the entries, Gambrell said that Gerald’s was the best.

“We kept coming back to Gerald’s,” said Gambrell.  “It is a good picture.  He really has a lot of artistic talent.”

Gambrell said that Stephens County Hospital appreciates all of the students that participated in this year’s contest.

The Stephens County Hospital Foundation also presented Barker with a prize for winning the contest.
