Home Invasion Results in Multiple Arrests

Two people are under arrest and a third is being sought in connection with a home invasion at a Stephens County residence earlier this month.

Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley said it occurred just before midnight on June 14 at a home in the Falls Road-Talmadge Drive area of the county.

“Three people forced their entry into the home and physically assaulted the homeowner,” said Shirley.

Shirley said that the victim originally reported the suspects taking an undisclosed amount of money and prescription pills from the home.

The sheriff went on to say that investigators then uncovered more as they began to look into the case.

“During the course of the investigation, our investigators identified an individual through a witness, which led to the recovery of some evidence that was taken from the victim’s home, such as some miscellaneous items from his wallet, identification card, some collectibles,” said Shirley. “Other tips from concerned citizens came in and led investigators to identify three individuals that did this.”

Shirley said his office has arrested 20-year-old Deshawn Houston of Winder and 29-year-old Samuel Dustin Littleton of Chopped Oak Church Road in Toccoa.

He said Houston was charged with Armed Robbery-Party to a Crime and Littleton was charged with Armed Robbery.

Meanwhile, the sheriff said warrants for Armed Robbery have also been obtained for 27-year-old Richard “Casey” Harrelson of Double Springs Road in Demorest.

He said anyone with information on Harrelson’s whereabouts should contact authorities.

“He is to be considered as armed and dangerous and they do not need to approach this individual in any manner,” said Shirley.

Anyone with information on Harrelson can call the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office at 706-779-3911 or 706-886-7048.

Meanwhile, Shirley said Houston and Littleton remained at the Stephens County Detention Center at last report with no bond.

The sheriff went on to say that investigators were able to recover a good amount of the stolen property.
