Harvest Festival Approaching in Toccoa

An annual Autumn tradition in Toccoa is now less than a month away.

The 40th annual Toccoa Harvest Festival is set for Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30 in downtown Toccoa.

Each year, the Harvest Festival typically draws more than 150 vendors to downtown Toccoa.

Main Street Toccoa Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby said there is still time for vendors who wish to participate to sign up and reserve their space.

“The sign-ups are going very well,” said Crosby. “We have quite a few who have already signed up.”

According to Crosby, all products must be homemade, home baked, or home grown.

She went on to say that already, many local residents have signed up for the festival, along with crafters from all over Georgia and South Carolina as well as from Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, and even Wisconsin.

Crosby said that the city is looking forward to this year’s 40th annual Harvest Festival to see what is in store.

That includes, she said, a train that will bring several hundred riders on Sunday.

“We are praying for good weather,” said Crosby. “Last year, we were hampered a little bit by bad weather but we are really looking forward to having a beautiful Harvest Festival again this year.”
