The Hart County Sheriff’s Department is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of two men responsible for an armed robbery at a convenience store last month.

It happened the night of December 17th at the Max Saver convenience store on U.S. 29/Anderson Highway.

Hart County Sheriff Mike Cleveland says that both suspects had guns. According to Cleveland, they held the clerk up and took all the money out of the cash register. Cleveland says they then fled on foot and were apparently picked up by a car.

Since then, Cleveland says the trail has gone cold and they’re asking for the public’s help to locate the two suspects.

Cleveland says that authorities have some ideas right now, but that is all.

He says the Hart County Sheriff’s Office is putting up $500 and the store is putting up $500.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hart County Sheriff’s Office at 706-376-3114.
