Habersham Search Leads to Two Arrests

A drug investigation in Habersham County leads to two arrests.

According to a press release from the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office, their office, the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, and the Baldwin Police Department executed a search warrant at an apartment in Baldwin on Monday.

This search was part of a month long investigation that began after agents received several tips from law enforcement officers and citizens regarding suspected drug sales at the apartment.

During the search of the apartment, agents located marijuana, methamphetamine, drug packaging materials, and drug paraphernalia.

34-year-old Douglas Waylon Davis of Cornelia was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Related Objects.

Authorities say another person at the Baldwin residence, 39-year-old Stephen Vail of Cornelia, was arrested for an outstanding warrant through Habersham County for child support.
