March 22, 2013

A Habersham County pastor serves as Chaplain of the Day in the Georgia State Senate.

50th District State Senator and Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle welcomed Pastor Mike Franklin to serve as the Chaplain of the Day on Thursday, March 7 in the Georgia State Senate.

Franklin has served as the lead pastor at the Torch in Demorest for the past 12 years. He has been in the pastoral ministry full-time for more than 34 years.

Senator Wilkinson said Pastor Franklin’s reminder that a person’s core commitments define who they are was a timely message for the Senate as it entered into the challenge of Crossover Day.

Lieutenant Governor Cagle also thanked Pastor Franklin for an inspirational message.
