Georgia Marks School Board Appreciation Week

March 19, 2013

The Stephens County School System is joining systems across Georgia in marking School Board Appreciation Week in Georgia.

“They are responsible for an annual budget of $32 million,” said Whiten. “We have over 4,000 students and almost 700 employees and they make a lot of decisions that affect our children and our community. We are extremely fortunate to have these folks.”

The Stephens County Board of Education members are Jerry Steele, Dr. Elizabeth Pinkerton, Sandra Childs, Tony Crunkleton, David Fricks, Jim Ledford, and Jeff Webb.

Just a reminder, the Stephens County Board of Education is scheduled to hold its regular monthly business meeting today at 5:30 p.m. at the Stephens County School System Administrative Offices on Mize Road.
