Georgia Department of Transportation District Engineer Bayne Smith has announced Lisa Deaton of White County is now the District Maintenance Contracts Engineer for the 21 counties in Northeast Georgia’s District One.
Deaton has worked with DOT since 1987. She started her career as a clerk and worked her way up in the Department.
In that position, she is responsible for coordinating with contractors performing maintenance activities on Georgia’s interstate and state route system. Her new position was effective October 16.
