GBI Arrests Clayton Man

A Rabun County man is under arrest, charged with Possession of Child Pornography.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said it and the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47-year-old Clark Bowen of Jiles Drive in Clayton on Monday.

Bowen was charged with one count of Sexual Exploitation of Children.

The GBI said the arrest is the result of a two-month investigation by the agency’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit.

GBI officials alleged that Bowen shared five files of suspected child pornography during the course of the investigation.

Then on Monday, the GBI and Rabun County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Bowen’s Clayton residence, where they located a laptop, allegedly belonging to Bowen and containing images of suspected child pornography.

The GBI said that Bowen was transported to the Rabun County Jail upon his arrest.
