28th District State Representative Dan Gasaway appears in Stephens County.
The first-term Republican State Representative held a “meet and greet” with local residents Tuesday evening in downtown Toccoa.
Gasaway said it went well and was pleased to have an opportunity to discuss a number of different positive things taking place in the area.
“We talked about some of the current events in the county,” said Gasaway. “We talked about a groundbreaking we are planning with the governor for the new Highway 17. We are looking forward to that, as well as the expansion of the nursing facility of the Currahee Campus of North Georgia Technical College.”
Gasaway said the level of Lake Hartwell also came up during the event.
“We are all glad the lake is filled up,” said Gasaway. “We are all hopeful the Corps will continue to work on better ways to manage the water because we know the rain will not rain like this all the time.”
Gasaway represents Stephens, Banks, and part of Habersham County in the State House.
