Georgia House Speaker Representative David Ralston visited the Currahee Military Museum Wednesday night while traveling through Stephens County with 28th District State Representative Dan Gasaway.

Ralston received a quick tour of the museum.

He said he was very impressed by what he saw.

“I think it is just really special,” said Ralston. “The community here has preserved this history of Camp Toccoa and it is using this to teach this generation and future generations. This is a real treasure in our state.”

Ralston said it is important for the state to promote its heritage and its diverse history, especially in its small towns and cities across Georgia, to teach young Georgians about the state for generations to come.
