The Georgia General Assembly is also getting a new legislative session started today in Atlanta.
Stephens County will have a new State Representative for the 2013-2014 legislative session, as Dan Gasaway takes over as the 28th District State Representative for Stephens and Banks counties, along with part of Habersham County.
Stephens County’s state senator will once again be 50th District State Senator John Wilkinson.
The two men appeared at a legislative forum in Stephens County last month to talk about the upcoming session.
Both legislators pointed to the budget as a main concern of the state in the upcoming year.
