The Georgia Department of Transportation said it will mow along a number of area roadways this week in northeast Georgia.
According to the DOT, the work will take place between Tuesday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. if weather permits, as today is a state government holiday.
In Stephens County, the DOT says it will mow along State Route 17 Alternate and State Route 184.
Meanwhile, DOT crews are scheduled to mow along State Routes 197, 255, and 356 in Habersham County; State Routes 63, 184, and 105 in Banks County; and State Route 77 Spur in Hart County.
Elsewhere, the DOT said that it will also replace concrete sections of Interstate 85 southbound at State Route 63 in Banks County this week. That work is set to take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and will require closing the right or outside lane. The DOT goes on to say that crews will also work on shoulder vegetation in that area as well this week.
Georgia Department of Transportation officials reminded motorists to reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
