The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced roadwork this week on a state route in Stephens County.

According to the state’s DOT, a crew is scheduled to repair and restore ditches this week on State Route 145.

Work is also planned in Habersham County. DOT officials said a crew there will clean and restore ditches on State Route 17, while another adds rubberized asphalt to State Route 255.

Meanwhile in Banks County, the DOT said a crew will inspect underground structures along U.S. Highway 441.

Finally in Rabun County, a crew will mow along U.S. Highway 441.

Work in all of these areas will take place from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today through Friday, weather permitting.

According to the DOT, most activities will require only shoulder or median lane closures.

However, the work on State Route 255 in Habersham County will require a lane closure in the work zone.

The DOT reminded motorists to reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
