The Georgia Department of Transportation is announcing road work for this week in Stephens and surrounding counties.
In Stephens County, the DOT said that a crew will be sealing cracks that developed in the asphalt on State Route 365.
Work is also scheduled in neighboring counties as well.
The DOT said a crew will fill cracks in the asphalt on U.S. Highway 441 in Banks County and repair edge ruts that have developed alongside State Route 385 in Habersham County.
Finally in Rabun County, a crew will clean and restore ditches alongside U.S. Highway 441 and State Route 197.
According to the DOT, crews will work through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. if weather permits.
DOT officials said most activities will only require shoulder or median lane closures.
Officials reminded motorists to reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
