Funeral Sunday For Colbert

Funeral services for the victim of last weekends fatal shooting in Toccoa is set for Sunday.
21-year-old Tomas Colbert of Toccoa died from gunshot wounds suffered last Sunday morning at an apartment on Falls Road.
According to Toccoa Police Chief Tim Jarrell, Colbert had several gunshot wounds to his body and was transported first to Stephens County Hospital, then was flown to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he died from his wounds shortly after arriving.

While at Stephens County High School, Colbert was a standout athlete as an all-star receiver in football, and also playing basketball. Following graduation he received a football scholarship at a two year school in Kansas.
The family will receive friends at Wimberly and White Funeral Home in Commerce on Saturday from 3 P.M.-6 P.M and funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday at Trinity CME Church.
