Franklin Community Players Award Scholarships

Two Franklin County residents are recipients of college scholarships from the Franklin Community Players organization.

Last week, the organization announced that Kirstin King and Kaytlin Stubbs are winners of the Franklin Community Players $500 college scholarship through this year’s scholarship program.

The organization said both are graduates of Franklin County High School and Emmanuel College dual enrollment students.

King lives in Lavonia, while Stubbs is a resident of Carnesville.

According to the Franklin Community Players, both have been very active in the organization over the years.

The club said both plan to attend the University of North Georgia in the Fall.

King will pursue a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in theatre, while Stubbs plans to pursue an Early Childhood Education degree, followed up with a Drama Education degree.

Franklin Community Players is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit established to foster, promote, and increase the public knowledge and appreciation of the arts and cultural activities in Franklin County and surrounding areas through the development and performance of the theater arts.
