Franklin Co. Voters Also Headed to Polls

Voters in Franklin County are also headed to the polls.

In Franklin County, voters will have five local races to decide, including Franklin County Commission Chair, County Sheriff, County Commission District 1 and two Franklin County Board of Education seats.

First, incumbent Sheriff Stevie Thomas has qualified and is being challenged by Tim Hill.

Second is the race for the Franklin County Commission Chair.

Four candidates are running for Franklin County Commission Chair:

They include Incumbent Thomas Bridges, who is being challenged by Nicholas Clark, Sharon Anne Powell, and County Commissioner David Strickland.

In the race for Franklin County Commissioner For District 1, three candidates are running.

They include incumbent Robert Franklin, former District 1 Commissioner Angela Whidby, and
Mark Barrett.

Finally, two Franklin County Board Of Education Posts are being challenged.

For Post 1, incumbent Joe Greene is being challenged by Eric Burrell and for Post 2, incumbent Dr. Pam Stone is being challenged by Jo Beth James.
