Franklin Co. Suspect Arrested in Toccoa

Local police work with authorities in FranklinCounty to arrest a Toccoa man on charges out of Franklin County.

Toccoa Police Chief Tim Jarrell said that the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office contacted Toccoa Police on October 3 in reference to helping with the arrest of 29-year-old George Lowden of Toccoa.

According to Jarrell, Franklin County authorities had outstanding warrants on Lowden for two counts of armed robbery.

Jarrell says the incidents took ;place on July 28 in the Gumlog area of Franklin County.

The chief goes on to say that after Lowden was taken into custody, he was turned over to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

Lowden faces no charges in Toccoa.

He was taken into custody without incident, Jarrell said.
