Franklin Co. Seeking Armed Robbery Suspect

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help regarding a recent armed robbery.

The robbery occurred back on November 11, 2012 around 3:30 a.m.

According to Franklin County Sheriff Stevie Thomas, a lone white male entered the PETRO truck stop-convenience store located at Exit 160 off I-85 near Carnesville.

Thomas said the suspect entered the Petro store and demanded money from the store clerk at gunpoint and made off with an undetermined amount of cash.

Authorities described the suspect as a white male in his mid-20’s with short brown hair, standing between 5’6’ – 5’9” tall, and weighing between 130-140lbs. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a light blue shirt and blue jeans.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and should not be encountered by the public.

Investigators also would like to talk to any witnesses who were at the Petro and may have seen the type of vehicle the suspect was driving.
