Follow-Up Investigation Results in Drug Charges

The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office is announcing more arrests in connection to the investigation of a homicide in Virginia earlier this month.

Earlier this month, three people were arrested in Toccoa in connection to the alleged homicide of a man near Roanoke, Virginia.

At the time of those arrests, authorities said that the investigation was ongoing and more arrests were possible.

Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley said that the latest arrests came when deputies followed up at a residence on Circle View Drive on May 4.

“They went to a residence looking for some evidence of crimes that occurred in the burglaries and home invasion in Virginia,” said Shirley.

He added that deputies were given consent to enter and search the residence.

“Deputies and investigators recovered marijuana and methamphetamine, a rather large amount,” said Shirley.

Shirley said deputies arrested 34-year-old Daniel Sertain and 30-year-old Pamela Wilson, both of Circle View Drive.

He said they are both charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, and eight counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony.

According to Shirley, both Wilson and Sertain are currently being held in the Stephens County Jail without bond pending a bond hearing.

The sheriff said weapons and cash located during the search were taken and are pending seizure.
