Fatal Fire On Hwy. 123 Monday

Authorities continue to investigate what may have caused a fatal fire Monday night in Stephens County.

Multiple stations responded to the fire at about 10:30 p.m. Monday on Highway 123 in the area of Osborne Wood Products.

According to Shiloh Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jeff Lanier, his department responded, along with Big Smith Volunteer Fire Department in Stephens County and Oconee County, South Carolina Station 10.

He says that one person was killed in the fire. There were no other injuries.

The fire marshal is investigating.
