Toccoa native Ethan Martin is expected to start his next game in Atlanta against the Braves.
The Philadelphia Phillies have listed Martin as the scheduled starter for Tuesday’s game against the Braves at Turner Field in Atlanta.
The Braves would counter with right-hander Kris Medlen.
Martin’s first two starts came at home in Philadelphia.
Earlier this month, Martin made his major league debut against the Braves, pitching 4 1/3 innings, but picking up the loss.
Martin then picked up his first major league win last week, beating the Chicago Cubs with five innings of one-run ball.
Martin is 1-1 on the season with a 6.75 Earned Run Average at the major league level after posting an 11-5 record with a 4.12 Earned Run Average at the Triple-A level for the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs.
Tomorrow’s start for Martin is the second of a three-game series between the Braves and Phillies that gets underway tonight.
First pitch for all three games in Atlanta is set for 7:10 p.m. and you can hear them right here on AM 630 WNEG.
