A sales tax holiday is set for this weekend in Georgia on purchases of WaterSense-labeled products and ENERGY STAR products.

The sales tax holiday will start Friday, October 5 at 12:01 a.m. and will continue through the weekend until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 7.

During the holiday, ENERGY STAR and WaterSense-labeled products with a sales price of $1,500 or less purchased for noncommercial home or personal use during the sales tax holiday will be Georgia state and local sales tax-free. That includes things like dishwashers, clothes washers, air conditioners, ceiling fans, fluorescent light bulbs, faucets, showerheads, and more.

The state and local sales tax holiday will not apply to items purchased for trade or business use, or items rented or leased.
