Egg Hunt, Little League Opening Day This Weekend in Toccoa

It is a busy weekend in Stephens County.

Saturday morning is the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Stephens County Recreation Department.

The hunt will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be over in less than 20 minutes so participants should arrive at the Rose Lane Ball Fields around 10:30 a.m.

There will be age divisions are 3 & under, ages 4 to 6 and ages 7 to 9.

They will hunt on three different ball fields and there will be between 4,000 and 5,000 eggs.

If it is raining, the hunt will be held indoors at the park.

Meanwhile, Opening Day for Toccoa Little League is also on Saturday.

The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the downtown Toccoa area and end on Field 2 at the Doyle Street Park, where players will participate in the opening ceremonies.

After a ceremonial first pitch, the Challenger League will play the first game of the season, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

There will be games throughout the day at the Doyle Street Park.
