Eastanollee Man Charged in Vehicle Theft

A Toccoa man faces charges in connection with a stolen vehicle report.

Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley said that 46-year-old Timothy Paul Peck of Tracy Private Drive, Eastanollee, has been charged with Felony Theft By Taking and Felony Criminal Damage to Property.

Shirley said a report filed with the Sheriff’s Office on November 1 indicates that an unknown person entered the gated yard of a business on Clary Connector and “hot wired” a 2004 Ford F250 truck belonging to a customer.

The sheriff said that after being started, the truck was basically driven through the front gate and off of the business’s property.

According to the sheriff, deputies later recovered the stolen vehicle at a residence on Tracy Drive.

He said the truck was occupied at Peck, who was arrested at the scene.

At last report, Peck was being held at the Stephens County Jail with a bond of $10,000.
