Early Voting Underway Today

Early voting starts today for the city of Toccoa’s referendum on whether to allow Sunday sales of alcohol by the drink for on-site consumption.

Registered voters residing within the city limits of Toccoa can cast their ballots in the Registrar and Probate Court’s Office on the lower floor of the Stephens County Government Building in downown Toccoa.

Voters can vote early Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Early voting also starts today for town of Martin registered voters in their municipal election.

That is also taking place at the Registrar and Probate Court office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Martin voters will be selecting two council members.

It is a three-person race as incumbents Harold Alexander and Mark Gearhart are running, as is challenger Diane Yow Cole.
