The Georgia Department of Transportation continues to work this week on northeast Georgia interstates.
The DOT said crews will work night and day this coming week on both Interstate 985 in Hall County and Interstate 85 in Franklin and Jackson counties, weather permitting.
On Interstate 85, a crew in Franklin County will seal cracks on the northbound side of the highway beginning at Exit 160 and working north.
Meanwhile in Jackson County, a crew will repair the driving surface or bridge deck on three bridges along I-85 northbound between Exit 129 and Exit 137.
Daytime work hours are from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Meanwhile in Hall County, a contractor will continue to remove damaged concrete and pour new concrete along Interstate 985, closing the right lane of the highway northbound between Exit 8 and Exit 12.
The work on I-985 is set to take place during the overnight hours between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following day every night that weather allows.
DOT officials said all of this work will require a lane closure.
The DOT asked motorists to slow down in these and all work zones along the highway.
