The Georgia Department of Transportation is conducting routine maintenance along some highways in Stephens and surrounding counties this week.
According to the DOT, crews are trimming vegetation and removing brush from rights of way along State Route 145 in Stephens County and State Route 106 in Franklin County.
In addition, a DOT crew will mow using an extension arm mower in the rights of way along State Route 105 in Habersham County.
DOT officials said the shoulders will be closed in areas where this work is taking place.
Meanwhile, work is also scheduled along U.S. Highway 441 in Rabun County as crews there will fill cracks in the pavement and clean curbs and gutters.
Officials noted that a lane closure will be required as crews fill cracks on U.S. 441 in Rabun County.
All of the work is scheduled to take place through Friday, weather permitting, between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
The DOT reminded motorists to reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
