The Georgia Department of Transportation will conduct routine highway maintenance activities in Stephens and surrounding counties this week.
In Stephens County, the DOT said a crew will trim the tall grass growing around the guardrail on State Route 17 Alternate. The DOT said the shoulder of the road will be closed as this work occurs.
Meanwhile, a crew in Franklin County will mow the shoulders and slopes alongside State Route 326 and the DOT said shoulders will be closed as that work occurs.
Finally in Habersham County, the DOT said a crew will repair and restore the slopes alongside State Route 17, while another crew repairs a pipe under State Route 385. Again, the DOT said the shoulders will be closed as that work occurs.
The DOT said crews will work weather permitting from today through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
DOT officials reminded motorists to use caution in these and all other work zones.
