The Georgia Department of Transportation is announcing a number of planned road work projects for the upcoming week.
According to the DOT, crews will mow along State Route 17 in Stephens County this week between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. as weather permits.
Elsewhere, the DOT says crews will also be mowing on State Route 15/U.S. Highway 441 in Rabun, Banks, and Habersham counties, while also repairing guardrails on State Route 15/U.S. Highway 441 and State Route 365 in Habersham County and restriping the intersection of State Routes 115 and 17 in Habersham County. DOT officials say that lane closures will be required where the restriping is taking place.
In Franklin County, DOT crews will work north and south trimming vegetation along the shoulder of Interstate 85, while another crew will work on the Interstate 85 bridge over Indian Creek in Franklin County, south of State Route 320. DOT officials say the bridge work will require a single lane closure.
The DOT reminds motorists to reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
