DOT Announces Road Work Schedule

The Georgia Department of Transportation is announcing its road work schedule for the upcoming week in Stephens and surrounding counties.

In Stephens County, a crew will inspect drainage pipes under State Routes 328 and 17.

Moving to Franklin County, a crew will trim the vegetation in the rights of way and mow the slopes alongside State Route 326.

In Habersham County, a crew will inspect the pipes underneath State Route 15 while damaged guardrail is repaired along State Route 365.  Another crew will repair rutting alongside the edge of pavement on State Route 197 in Habersham County.  That work on State Route 197 will require a lane closure.

Finally in Banks County, a crew will trim vegetation in the rights of way alongside State Route 198 and the shoulder of the roadway will be closed as the work occurs.

The DOT said crews will work all week from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. as weather permits.

The Department asks motorists to use caution in these and all work zones.
