The Georgia Department of Transportation is planning roadwork this week in Stephens and surrounding counties.
In Stephens County, the DOT said a crew is scheduled to repair and restore ditches and shoulders along State Route 145.
Moving to Habersham County, DOT officials said a crew is adding rubberized asphalt to State Route 15/U.S. Highway 441 and another crew is scheduled to repair the driving surface of State Route 365 northbound just south of State Route 105 in Cornelia.
Finally in Franklin County, the DOT said a crew is scheduled to repair and restore ditches alongside State Route 174, while another crew will re-set the grade of the shoulder adjacent to State Routes 106 and 174.
According to the DOT, most activities will only require shoulder or median lane closures.
However, DOT officials said the work in Habersham County and the shoulder work in Franklin County will require lane closures as crews work in those areas.
The DOT said crews are scheduled to work today through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. if weather permits.
Officials reminded motorists to reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
