The Georgia Department of Transportation will limit lane closures this weekend on Interstate highways for the Easter holiday.
According to the DOT, those Interstate lane closures will be limited from midnight tonight to 5 a.m. on Monday.
The DOT will also limit lane closures on Metro Atlanta interstates next weekend for the Final Four and Braves’ home games.
Then, on April 13 and 14, limited Interstate lane closures will also be in effect.
Throughout this entire period, which also includes numerous Spring Breaks, the DOT said traffic is expected to be heavy throughout the state.
DOT officials reminded travelers to exercise caution as crews may still be working close to highways and safety concerns may require long-term lane closures to remain in place.
In addition, the DOT said that incident management or emergency, maintenance-related lane closures could become necessary at any time on any route.
