The Georgia Department of Transportation is announcing road work in Stephens and surrounding counties this week.
According to the DOT, a crew will be repairing and restoring ditches this week along State Highway 145.
Elsewhere, the DOT said a crew will be adding rubberized asphalt to U.S. Highway 441 in Habersham County, while a damaged guardrail will be repaired on State Highway 365. The work on Highway 441 will require a lane closure.
Meanwhile, crews in Franklin County will pick up litter on Interstate 85 and hand sweep bridges and a lane closure will be required as crews work in an area.
Finally, another crew in Franklin County will repair and restore the grade of shoulders along State Highways 106 and 320. The shoulder and one lane will be closed as crews work in an area.
The DOT said that crews will work today through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., if weather permits.
DOT officials reminded motorists to reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
