The Georgia DOT will perform routine maintenance work in Stephens and surrounding counties this week if weather permits.
That work will include trimming or removing vegetation and brush from the rights of way along State Route 63 in Stephens County, as well as State Routes 63, 51, and 184 in Banks County.
The DOT said that work will only require shoulder or median lane closures.
Elsewhere, the DOT said a crew will reset the grade of the shoulders alongside State Route 106 in Franklin County to ensure proper drainage from the roadbed, while another crew will pick up litter along Interstate 85 in Franklin County.
The Department of Transportation reminds motorists to reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
Work will take place today through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5;30 p.m. if weather permits.
