The Georgia Department of Transportation will conduct a number of road work projects in northeast Georgia this week if weather permits.
The work is scheduled to take place in Habersham, Rabun, and White counties, among others, if the weather cooperates.
According to the DOT, most activities will only require shoulder or median lane closures.
In Habersham County, a crew will mow using an extension arm mower in the rights of way alongside State Route 105.
In Rabun County, a crew will fill cracks in the pavement and clean the curbs and gutters of U.S. Highway 441/State Route 15. The DOT does note that the crack filling operation will require a lane closure as work occurs.
Finally, a crew will repair damaged guardrail along State Route 17 in Helen in White County.
The DOT said that crews will work today through Friday if weather allows between 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
DOT officials reminded motorists to reduce their speed in these and all work zones.
