Deadline Is Today to Register To Vote in May Election

Today is the deadline to register to vote in order to be eligible to vote in the primary and non-partisan election that is coming up next month in Georgia.

People can register to vote by stopping by the Stephens County Registrar’s Office, located in the Courthouse Annex on Tugalo Street in downtown Toccoa.

Also, people can register to vote online at the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office website at www.sos.ga.gov.

This May, voters are heading to the polls in Stephens County to vote in a number of county races, including Stephens County Commission Post Two, Stephens County Board of Education At-large, Stephens County Board of Education District 3 Post 2, Sheriff, and Chief Magistrate.

There are also a number of regional races that will be on the ballot, including 9th District U.S. House, 50th District State Senate, Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney, and U.S. Senate.

Early voting for the May 24 primary election starts on Monday at the Courthouse Annex on Tugalo Street in downtown Toccoa.
