The Currahee Club in Stephens County will be hosting some community oriented events this weekend for the public.
The events are taking place on Saturday.
First, the club will welcome the Stephens County Farmers’ Market and more to the Currahee Club for the day.
Currahee Club Community Manager Anne Shurley said this is the second year for this event and will include a lot of different items for the public.
“We encourage everybody to come out and visit that,” said Shurley. “It is actually double, maybe triple the size of what it was last year. We have the Stephens County Farmers’ Market, the Currahee Artists Guild, food vendors, lots of produce, jams, jellies, salsas.”
Shurley said there will also be many other items for sale as well, along with other activities such as face painting and more.
That event is running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Currahee Club Amenities Center and is free for the public to attend.
Meanwhile, people can also get a sneak preview on Saturday of the Southern Living Inspired Home from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Shurley said that is also free for people to go in, but that donations will be collected.
She said those donations will benefit a couple of different groups.
“It is the Camp Toccoa project, which is all near and dear to our hearts, and a project out of Atlanta called ‘Sunshine for a Rainy Day’,” said Shurley. “What they do is enhance homes for children that have illnesses.”
Shurley said there will be shuttles between the two different locations and signs up to direct people as well.
