Corps Opening Several Hartwell Campgrounds, Day Use Areas on Friday

Friday brings the opening of a number of campgrounds and day use areas on Lake Hartwell.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Hartwell Project Office announced the opening of several campgrounds and day use areas on April 1.

They are Crescent Group Camp, Anderson County, S.C.; Springfield Campground, Anderson County, S.C.; Twin Lakes Campground, Pickens County, S.C.; Watsadler Campground, Hart County, Ga.; Singing Pines Day Use Area, Anderson County, S.C.; and Twelve Mile Day Use Area, Pickens County, S.C.

The Corps said that reservations for campsites and picnic shelters located within day use areas can be made by calling the National Recreation Reservation Service toll-free at 877-444-6777 or online at www.Recreation.gov.
