Commissioners Make Minor Amendments to Land Use Ordinance

Stephens County Commissioners make some minor adjustments to the land use ordinance.

Commissioners unanimously approved a series of amendments to the land use ordinance at Tuesday’s meeting.

According to Stephens County Attorney Brian Ranck, the changes were designed to simply clean up the ordinance moving forward in the area of telecommunications.

“These amendments were geared primarily towards removing the telecommunications references from land use so we can move them to the stand alone ordinance for telecommunications,” said Ranck. “There are a few other little minor housekeeping items that were taken care of in this.”

Commissioners held two public hearings on the amendments prior to their adoption.

Nobody commented on the amendments to the land use ordinance at either of the two public hearings.
