Collins Stands In Support of Health Care Bill Pulled Before House Vote

9th District U.S. Representative Doug Collins speaks out on the failure of the American Health Care Act.

Friday, the House of Representatives did not vote on the health care bill, which was backed by the President and Republican leadership in the House, but faced opposition not only from Democrats, but some Republicans who said the bill’s proposed changes went too far and other Republicans who said the bill’s proposed changes did not go far enough.

Collins, who serves as Vice Chair of the House Republican Conference, said he is proud to have stood with President Trump on the effort to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, a law he said has hurt American families and replaced their freedom with federal mandates.

Collins said he finds himself frustrated that so many Republicans refused to act according to their professed principles.
