Coan Wins Silver In Swim Relay

Clarkesville’s McKenzie Coan adds a third medal to her Paralympic haul in Rio.

Thursday, Coan was part of the silver-medal winning 4×100 freestyle relay team representing the United States.

Coan has already won two gold medals, taking the top spot in the women’s S7 50-meter freestyle and the women’s S7 400-meter freestyle.

She has two more events yet to swim.

Both of those are scheduled for today.

They are the 4×100 medley relay and the women’s S7 100-meter freestyle.

McKenzie is the daughter of Dr. Marc Coan, who practices at the Toccoa Clinic, and Teresa Coan.
