Toccoa and Stephens County are both announcing their schedules for the Christmas holiday.
Stephens County government offices and Toccoa City Hall will both be closed Monday and Tuesday in observance of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
In the city of Toccoa, routes for garbage and recycling scheduled to be picked up on Monday, December 24 will be picked up on Wednesday, December 26 and routes for garbage and recycling scheduled to be picked up on Tuesday, December 25 will be picked up on Thursday, December 27.
Commercial garbage that is scheduled to be picked up on Tuesday, December 25 will be picked up on Wednesday, December 26, but yard waste and other items will not be picked up.
The Toccoa Police and Fire Departments will be on duty. Utility department employees, as well as employees from the Public Works Department, will be on call for emergency situations.
