Toccoa City Commissioners make changes to their schedule over the next couple of months.
The Toccoa City Commission has adjusted its meeting schedule for the months of May and June.
In May, the commission will hold its two scheduled meetings on Tuesday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 20.
Meanwhile in June, the commission will meet on Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 17.
All of the meetings will still start at 5 p.m. and will still take place at Toccoa City Hall.
Commissioners approved the schedule changes at their meeting last Monday.
Also during last week’s meeting, city commissioners unanimously approved a resolution for facade renovation at the Schaefer Center.
Toccoa City Manager Billy Morse said that the Downtown Development Authority recommended the approval of a bid from Deercourt Enterprises to do that facade renovation.
The city has obtained grant funding to supplement local money in completing this project.
Meanwhile, city commissioners also unanimously approved a housing demolition on Stovall Lane.
Under the agreement for the demolition, the city will be granted access to the property and then be allowed to place a lien on the property to recoup its expenses.
The city says the estimated disposal cost of the demolition will be $3,500.
Finally during last week’s meeting, commissioners unanimously approved a number of other items including the Interagency Agreement for the Mountain Judicial Circuit N.C.I.S. Drug Team, a memorandum of understanding for the Georgia Exceptional Main Street Program, and the Stephens County Hazard Mitigation Plan.
