Christian Wins DA’s Race

George Christian will serve a full four-year term as Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney.

Christian defeated Bruce Russell, Jr. in Tuesday’s Republican primary and will run without Democratic opposition in the Fall.

District-wide, Christian received 8,555 votes, or 60.10 percent, to Russell’s 5,680 votes, or 39.9 percent.

In Stephens County, Christian received 2,298 votes, or 64.82 percent, to Russell’s 1,247 votes, or 35.18 percent.

Also, Chan Caudell was elected without opposition to another four-year term as a Mountain Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge.
