The Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce honors a long-time businessman and civic leader.
At its annual meeting and awards banquet Thursday, the Chamber honored J.B. Hudgins with its Lifetime Achievement Award.
Hudgins has owned and operated a retail furniture business, served as Chairman of the Stephens County Board of Education, President of the Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce, and as a Stephens County Commissioner, along with serving on numerous other civic and community boards.
Hudgins said he is honored to receive this recognition from the Chamber.
“It was a great surprise,” said Hudgins. “I feel very humbled. I thank you.”
The Chamber of Commerce handed out a number of other awards during its meeting and banquet Thursday.

Volunteer of the Year — Judson Lott
Industry of the Year — Trachte Southeast
Partner in Education of the Year — Mack Poss and Associates
Business Plan Competition Winner — Just Sew Pretty
Chairman’s Award — Burt Holmes
