May 13, 2013

A Stephens County store celebrates new ownership.

The Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday to celebrate new ownership at the Calico Country Store near Lake Hartwell in the Martin area.

Rebecca Lambert is the new owner of the Calico Country Store.

She said she is excited to continue providing food, lake supplies, and more at the store.

“We have pretty much a full kitchen,” said Lambert. “We have all the bait and tackle you need to go fishing, groceries, drinks, snacks. Come on down, sit, chat and have a cup of coffee.”

The Calico Country Store is located on Holcomb Drive in Martin, in the area of the Bruce Creek and Holcomb Branch Boat Ramps.

It is open seven days a week. On Mondays through Saturdays, it is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Sundays, it is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
