Bond Hearing Today for Teen Charged in Shooting Death

A 15-year-old charged with the shooting death of his mother in Stephens County last month is scheduled for a bond hearing this morning.

Court records indicate the teen is scheduled to appear before Mountain Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Russell Smith for that bond hearing at 9 a.m. today in Stephens County.

The 15-year-old is charged with malice murder in connection to the death of his mother, 46-year-old Kim Lanier.

Authorities allege that the teen shot and killed his mother on the morning of Monday, September 29 at their Prather Bridge Road residence.
