Bond Hearing Scheduled in Lanier Shooting Death Case
A 15-year-old charged with the shooting death of his mother in Stephens County last week is scheduled to have a court appearance next week.
Court records indicate that the teen is scheduled to appear in Stephens County Superior Court on Wednesday, October 15 for a bond hearing.
Mountain Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Russell Smith is scheduled to preside over the bond hearing.
The 15-year-old is charged with malice murder in connection to the death of his mother, 46-year-old Kim Lanier.
Authorities allege that the teen shot and killed his mother on the morning of Monday, September 29 at their Prather Bridge Road residence.
